A Simple Bamboo Fountain in a Simple Carmel Garden

Writer's picture: CPLCPL

In this Carmel garden we used a simple bamboo fountain. The setup of this water feature couldn't have been easier. We found a container, filled it with water, dropped in the pumped, propped up the bamboo with a couple of rocks and plugged it in. The ground cover of Ceanothus "Carmel Creeper" hides the pumps wire and tubing. The Chondropetalum tectorum works well as a back drop accenting the bamboo fountain. In this design the simplicity of the water feature compliments the simplicity of the plantings. The goal of this project was to drown out noise and this fountain does just that. The sound is loud and billowing and you can hear it from inside the kitchen, precisely what this client requested - another satisfied customer. Carmel Point Landscapes proudly serves Carmel, Pebble Beach, Big Sur, Pacific Grove and Monterey. If a water feature is in the cards, call us for a free consultation.
