Creating a Garden Pathway in the Pebble Beach Landscape

When designing landscapes on the Monterey Peninsula, we always take into account how our clients can best move around their landscape safely. In this Pebble Beach landscape project, we created a garden path using natural stone.

This Pebble Beach garden path was built using quartzite stone, which was first laid out along the path. Once laid out, we chip and cut each stone so that all the joints are evenly spaced. After achieving the desired layout, we set each stone on a 4" bed of concrete slurry and thin-set mortar. The joints of this stone path are equipped with a 1/4" perforated soaker hose, allowing thyme to grow between each step.

Beyond natural stone pathways, Carmel Point Landscapes also designs and installs paver paths and poured-in-place concrete. Whether you live in Pebble Beach, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, or Big Sur, we can help navigate your landscape.
