For this full-sun landscape project, located in Carmel Meadows, Carmel Point Landscapes created a functional and beautiful outdoor space featuring PVC decking, stone walls, walkways, and a paver driveway. Enhanced with thoughtful landscape lighting and vibrant plantings, this design combines aesthetics, durability, and fire resistance to deliver a comfortable, low-maintenance, contemporary, outdoor oasis.
A deck in full sun can get unbearably hot, making it uncomfortable to walk on, especially for bare feet and pets. Wood decks are more vulnerable to fire, rotting, splintering, and fading.
Given that our client's deck area is in full sun, we opted for TimberTech Advanced PVC decking.

For a sophisticated, aged hardwood look, we selected Coastline from the Vintage Collection—a medium gray that retains less heat than darker colors.
Moose Mountain Stone Wall
For the garden wall on this project we recommended Moose Mountain Tumbled Ledge Stone. This stone features smoky gray, tan, and chocolate tones that create a timeless, rugged look. Its lineal profile allows for long-lasting stability, while its weather-resistant properties ensure low maintenance.
Castohn Large Olympic Pavers
For the pathways we chose Castohn Olympic Pavers to create sleek, durable, naturally blending, non-slip paved pathways. The large scale of these pavers results in fewer cracks, reducing weed growth and making them low-maintenance—ideal for high-traffic areas. Calstone Linear Paved Driveway
For the driveway we used Calstone Linear Pavers which added to the contemporary design elements for an overall sleek curb appeal. Calstone pavers are low maintenance, eco friendly, promote drainage, and can endure the weight of heavy vehicles.Calstone also has more options in terms of color and pattern so we were able to present our client with several choices along with our recommendations.
FXLuminaire Landscape & Architectural Lighting
FXLuminaire LED landscape lighting was installed to create a stunning and functional landscape lighting design. Using landscape lighting allowed us to highlight key architectural features, trees, and pathways, extending the usability of our client's outdoor spaces well into the evening. FX Luminaire LED lights are not only energy-efficient but also last longer and produce less heat compared to traditional lighting, making them a smart, sustainable choice for any landscape.
