Tuscany Inspired Outdoor Living

Updated: Nov 12

When our client asked for a Tuscany-inspired outdoor space where they could relax, entertain, daydream, stargaze, and find inspiration, we delivered.

If you’re like us, and love the elegance of European-inspired outdoor living—where your guests are impressed and your solitude is nurtured by the natural beauty around you—then this kind of sanctuary, where relaxation and inspiration flow effortlessly, is exactly what we aim to create for every client.

At Carmel Point Landscapes, we specialize in a variety of landscape and hardscape styles, with designing a relaxed atmosphere for leisurely living being one of our favorites.

We created an outdoor space that functions as an extension of our client’s home, capturing the essence of a classic Italian courtyard.

Drawing inspiration from the architecture and cobblestone streets of Florence, our stonemasons hand-chipped Quartzite stone to build the patio, walkways, and pathways. Quartzite is an excellent choice due to its natural color variations of earth tones, and, over time, it develops a patina that can mimic the look of old, weathered stone found in classic Italian streets.

The Mediterranean climate is arguably the best climate in the world, and the Monterey Peninsula is one of the few places on this planet where you can enjoy the outdoors—every. single. day.

To complement the Mediterranean climate, we built a replica of a traditional Tuscan outdoor fireplace using veneered Willow Creek stone. A fireplace is the perfect gathering spot that fosters conversation and relaxation well into the night

When I think about outdoor living, I imagine a lovely glass of wine in Mediterranean weather, an iconic fireplace, a stone courtyard, and the romantic fragrances of lavender and rosemary. Throw in a trip to Italy, and I’m in heaven.
